Telegram Integration
Telegram integration is one of the most popular features on ClawStart. It connects your AI agent to a Telegram bot, and after that you can chat with your agent from a phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop. No browser required. Your agent is always just one Telegram message away.
Telegram has about 900 million users worldwide and runs on practically every platform. Once your agent is on Telegram, you get push notifications when it replies, your messages sync across devices, and you can send a quick question while you are standing in line or sitting on the bus.
How it works
When you turn on Telegram in your ClawStart dashboard, the platform creates a Telegram bot for your agent. Here is the technical flow:
- You send a message to your Telegram bot
- Telegram forwards it to your agent's container through a webhook
- The agent processes your message using its language model and available skills
- The response goes back through the Telegram Bot API
- You see it in your Telegram chat, usually within 3 to 10 seconds
Response time depends on what the agent has to do. A straightforward question is fast. If it needs to run a web search or open a browser, it takes a few seconds longer.
Setup guide
Step 1: Create your agent
Sign up on ClawStart and create your agent. Pick a model and a scenario. The agent deploys in about 60 seconds.
Step 2: Get the bot link
Go to the Integrations section in your dashboard. There you will find a unique Telegram bot link.
Step 3: Start the bot
Click the link or search for the bot in Telegram. Tap "Start" and the connection is ready.
Step 4: Chat
Send any message. Try "Hello, what can you do?" to see what your agent is capable of.
What you get
- - Real-time messaging with push notifications on your phone.
- - Full skill access - web search, browser, Gmail, all MCP servers. Everything works through Telegram.
- - Works everywhere - iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, Linux, web.
- - Chat history saved in Telegram. Scroll back any time.
- - Private - the bot only answers your Telegram account.
Telegram vs Web Chat
Both connect to the same agent with the same skills. The difference comes down to convenience:
- - Telegram works better for quick, on-the-go interactions. It is already on your phone, nothing extra to install.
- - Web Chat works better for longer sessions where you want a bigger screen and access to agent settings.
Many people use both: web chat for configuration and longer working sessions, Telegram for quick questions throughout the day.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Telegram bot secure?
The bot only responds to your Telegram account. Other people who come across the bot link get ignored. All messages are processed inside your agent's isolated container.
Does it cost extra?
No extra cost. Telegram comes with the Starter plan ($10/mo) and higher. The free plan only includes web chat.
Can I use Telegram and web chat at the same time?
Yes. Both connect to the same agent. Conversation histories are separate per channel, but the agent has the same skills and configuration in both.
