WhatsApp is the most popular messaging app in the world, with over 2 billion people using it. We are building a WhatsApp integration for ClawStart that will let you chat with your AI agent right inside WhatsApp. The idea is the same as our Telegram integration (which is already live), but on the platform where a larger share of the world actually communicates.
What to expect
You will be able to send messages and receive answers just like you would chatting with any contact. All agent skills will be available: web search, browser control, Gmail, every MCP server you have connected. It will work on any device where WhatsApp runs (iOS, Android, web), and WhatsApp's default end-to-end encryption adds another layer of privacy.
How it will work
The integration uses the WhatsApp Business API. You get a WhatsApp number linked to your agent. Send a message to that number, the agent processes it in its container, and the reply comes back. Setup will be simple, similar to how Telegram works today.
WhatsApp vs Telegram
Both give you the same core experience: talking to your agent through a messaging app. WhatsApp has a larger user base (2 billion plus) and end-to-end encryption on by default. Telegram has a more developed bot ecosystem with richer message formatting. Our Telegram integration is available now. WhatsApp is on the way.
